A little bit of hope and a whole lot of faith….

When I even think about rainbows, I think about God’s grace. He didn’t just care about function and science, He cared to make everything beautiful too. He did that with the heavens, the oceans, and everything in between. Including us! He built our bodies with such precision, with these vast complex systems that all interconnect. It’s actually mind boggling to me when I think about it.

Humans have long studied the ecosystem and the beneficial properties of each species, each natural phenomenon, but have we really looked at what we have done? What our purpose is here as a species, a purpose that is interconnected and woven just like the heavens and oceans?

Yes, we have caused mass destruction, global warming, wars etc…but are we really that dense to think God didn’t know we would do that? He knew. Do we really think that’s all we have done?! That our entire species was sent here in these perfectly designed bodies, to just be a nuisance-like a gnat?! Do we really think we are smarter than God and can override His design for us?! Because babbbyyy-we aren’t!

We are so much more than destruction and chaos and it’s about time we wake up and realize it. We were sent here to nourish each other, the planet, and ourselves. To spread that nourishment to all things good. We can only do that when we see the divine in us.

I know the world feels like it’s going to shit, but it’s not. Sometimes God lets things happen for us to finally wake-up and evolve. Collectively and individually, as humans we got too comfortable and no one grows in comfort. Once we hit rock bottom, we will start ascending again. Like throwing a basketball to the ground, once it hits-it will propel back upwards. The trick is-only we can decide what is rock-bottom, both individually and collectively.

If you think of earth like a basketball, while it feels like it’s spiraling down (past what feels like rock bottom for a lot of us), it’s about to bounce back up. We are ascending from a hell ish frequency of control, power and chaos to one of love, community, and wholeness. All the negative in the world is trying to keep us from bouncing back up, but that’s where our purpose comes in.

Nourishment. Nourish yourself, love on yourself, see the divinity and the beauty in you so you can spread that to all those around you (even those who don’t even deserve it at times-they need it the most anyway). Love yourself enough to choose what nourishes your soul, ultimately that overflow will fuel your family, friends, community, etc. and together-cliche as it is-we will bounce higher.

Choose joy today, choose love, choose peace. Choose to believe you are an instrument of God and use your gift wisely. Your energy is feeding the system. Which one will you choose tonight?

I will forever choose to see the rainbows in the dark, and God in everything.
